What do you do with an old LCD monitor that is not being used? You hook it up to your Mac and be twice as productive.

This is the one thing I like about my Mac... it's so easy to hook things up and start working with it. Thanks to a recent trip to BestBuys, and $19 later with a DVI to VGA adapter, I've just extended my desktop real estate to about 1280 x 1024 more. (If only we can do that to our housing lots!)

The one thing I like about the Mac is the fact that everything just fits well together. No driver conflicts, no complicated setups, just simply Plug-N-Play, within reason of course. Now I don't have to cram everything in my 13-inch display. Talk about productivity!

Do you see the bottom screen? That's Windows XP running on my Mac... yet another great thing about the machine. It's like having two computers running at the same time. You actually have 3 computers running... Windows XP, Apple, and a Unix back end called Darwin. You know the old cliche, "Once you go Mac, there's no turning back!"

Today is a special day... it's Ton-ton's birthday!

In case you're wondering who Ton2 is (Ton-ton, or Ton to the second power), he is my brother. He also happens to be the genius behind dailychex.com. We call him Ton for short.

Well, actually, his nickname should have been "Dan-dan" but as kids growing up, we couldn't pronounce the "d" sound (short tongues I guess :^) ), and so the name stuck..."Ton-ton". It's kinda like having "Richard" as your name and they call you "Dick", or people call you "Bob" but your real name is "Robert". (English, you've gotta love it!)

You've probably heard this phrase before... "a rose by any other name would smell as sweet." (Sheakspeare, 1594). In Ton's case, regardless of what name you call him, he is still the same all around wonderful person that he is... and that's why I'm so proud to be his brother.

Happy Birthday Ton-ton! You are a blessing to our family, as well as to the people around you! May God richly bless you with more birthdays to come!

So... where the party at? :^)

The winds of change has blown and my sail is up and ready. It's going to be an awesome ride!

It's not everyday that you see a Web 2.0 application that's as interactive, flexible and as poweful as this one. It doesn't come as a surprise though... afterall my brother Ton is the genius behind it. What's even more amazing is the fact that he's done it singlehandedly. It gives a whole new meaning to the question, "How do you eat an elephant?"... of course the answer is "One byte at at time!"

If there's one thing I admire about my brother it's the way he makes complicated things simple. I guess you can say that is the essence of genius, which by the way, runs in the family (wink... wink!) :^). I guess those days of watching Whiz Kids paid off, not to mention all them computer books I've been buying with my "birthday" money. Can you say TRS-80? Those were the good ol' days when 64k ruled!

Well, what can I say... I'm proud of him! Keep up the good work Ton... can't wait to see what'll come in the next few months. So to all of you out there get your sails ready. The winds of change are blowin' and we're in for an awesome ride!
