There are great things about a montessori program, especially the everyday life skills that are grown, learned and nurtured.
you have a horse stick assisting you in a friendly competition. If I had one of these beauties, I would name it Thunderfoot.

Bokeh, as in fool? Nay fellow Chexians! What was used in China is not relevant to this digital atmosphere. Instead, when applied to a lens, it refers to the pleasing quality of the out of focus areas of an image produced by the lens.
Such as:
Some people say luck, in my case, probably... since this photo was taken on a really windy day. Now, I do not know if this is the proper technique, but using a high zoom lens, I set the focus to manual and I zoomed in the most i could with the lense while I got the subject into focus, allowing the background to get that nice soft gaussian blur.
Here are some other examples, excuse the incorrect color spaces, those photos will be fixed soon.

The other thing you might notice is that i do this a lot with flowers. I have two caveats to this:

The other thing you might notice is that i do this a lot with flowers. I have two caveats to this:
- You will see that sunflowers will be used a lot in my photos since in my area of South Texas, they grow at a substancial rate.
- It is so much easier to do this technique with flowers since they usually stay still.

In one of the many conversations held within the confines of the UR office where I work at, we had a discussion of the usage of a macro lens and how it could possible be simulated. A lot of photos I have taken so far has been based on this conversation. Out of all the suggestions, using a high zoom lense (in my case, a Sigma 28-300 mm) seemed the best way to try out these loose thoughts. By no means am I endorsing this type of lense, it is something that was readily available to me without the need to purchase anything. Below are some examples of this experiment, but there are some points that need to be taken into consideration to help dissect the photos.

- I am by no means an expert or a professional, so be kind and remember in the effort of learning this was an experiment.
- All photos have been taken using the same lens: Sigma 28-300 1:3.5-6.3
- All photos are taken using Adobe Camera Raw 2.1
- Up until yesterday 6-29-2007, I had been using Adobe RGB as the color profile, if anyone has a better suggestion to a better profile so my photo colors do not get washed out when I upload, please feel free to comment
