This is another slightly enlightening 'Top Ten' to start the day. >;-)

But beofre that, a recap of dishes from yesterday, the first day of my so called 'cooking journey', I have managed to cook beef nilaga and chicken mechado.
Today's dishes, ginisang gulay and adobong squid. Photos will be posted soon.

Here are Ten Signs You Have Grown Up
by YBother.

1. You think of the consequences before you act.
---> Especially in work or out in public, if not, you get fired from work or go to prison. Learning 'Conformity Rules'!

2. You find it hard to spend as you know that earning money is not that easy as spending money.
---> Hmm, true, unless you earn much more than so much, for your contentment. Something like that.

3. You realise that time is precious and you do not have much left.
---> So true. No more wasting time.

4. You get the idea that things you done 1 year ago feel extremely retarded to you now.
---> Slightly true. But not in my COOKING.

5. You start getting wedding invites.
---> More on babies dedication and Christening Invites.

6. When you meet up with friends, the topics goes like this "Last time", "In the past" , " Remember that time when we...".
---> Remembering how happy and different it was ---> Guilty! It is a given fact that people move on to another level in life, perhaps more responsibility. Change is inevitable.

7. You suddenly ask yourself what is the meaning/purpose of your life.
---> Grown Old Indeed!

8. You can do something you do not like everyday even when there is no one pushing you to do it.
---> Definitely Applies to My Current Status

9. You see other kids and you ask either 1) How old they are, 2) Where they are studying.
---> Grown Ups!

10. You forgot what it is like to be a kid and how irrating adults can be when they all ask the same questions.
---> I remember: I must not do this.

Inspiring myself to cook I thought I must try blogging to keep on track and check my progress. Photography is another bate that would dramatically increase my presence in the kitchen area, thank you Honey for bribing me with a camera.

I have several cooking books to start with.

My goal: To consistently prepare three good meals a day seven days a week. Discipline of body and mind, emotions at bay and maintained enthusiasm must be mastered. Wow, I sound like people who keeps on planning yet not attaining anything.

I have a weeks plan of meals on my hand. A list of grocery and everything that goes with it. I will not fail. hehehe.I find myself laughing about this situation. Poor me, oh my! I am a wonderful creation of God, I am blessed with all of these things. I am blessed! hehehe.

Are these things attainable? Yes, as long as I keep my ears away from the culprit. I command that culprit to never talk again. hehehe.

I have several years more to live, before I die at least I should have devoted a time to really cook for my beloved family, especially my daughter. I may be insane, due to too much exposure indoors by now, but who cares, I only have one family, I might as well make myself happy and keep them happy.

It is quite early in the morning, 5 a.m. of the last working day of the week.
Oh how I love staying at home nowadays. I wonder if my boss and colleagues miss me at work. Anyhow, I shall move on, which is the reason I am on this path.

I thank God for the comfort of my shelter, the warmth of my family and His words that guides me. Occasionally I wish I learned how to cook well, way back during my highschool days. I have so much catching up to do now. Since I have a daughter to depend on my cooking and domestic skills.

Life is so unpredictable, my total opposite. Probably my idea of fun is too boring for everybody else, especially women, that is why I don't like what most women take pleasure in doing, specifically cooking. I'd rather eat and take pictures of those raw ingredients than cook them.

Oh God! I wish you made me a man. Kidding! (Thinking man doesn't cook, of course I am dead worng. My dad is a very good chef.) How I wish I never married, a grumpy serious old man. Kidding Honey!:) My partner is so 'all that I needed to survive'. Hehehe. A very responsible man and dad, a woman could never ask for more.

Going back to cooking.
